Thursday 19th 2.30pm Meeting for Worship will be held at Farfield Meeting House near Addingham in Wharfedale this year on third Thursdays

 

Thursday 19th   at 7.45pm, a Quaker Sustainability Group Meeting.   All welcome

Sunday 22nd Extended Meeting for Worship starting with a shared breakfast at 9am, then worship from 9.30 to 11.45 with friends welcome to arrive or leave at 10am or 10.45am.  We also support Gildersome Meeting on the 4th Sunday of the month - a lift will be provided at 10.15am – if you can offer a lift or would like a lift, please contact Robert Keeble.

Sunday 22nd  Leeds Area Quaker Meeting (a meeting restricted to those who attend Quaker Meetings in Leeds).  To be held from 1pm to 4.15pmat Rawdon Quaker Meeting House.  Topic: The work of BYM Trustees.

Sunday 22nd Quaker Cycle Ride in support of the Welfare State starts. Starting at Swarthmore Hall, the route wends through the Lake District and will pass through Yorkshire from 23rd to 26th before ending at ending at Friends House on 3rd August  – riders will be staying at Meeting Houses on route. Saturday 4th August – Leeds Quaker annual outing will be to Richmond – departing Carlton Hill 9.30am. Cost £14 = children are free.

 

Sunday 5th August, Post-Truth World: Quakers’ Response  Following a concern received by Meeting for Sufferings, Friends have been asked to consider how we should respond in a post-truth world

LGBT+ people of faith will be part of the Gay Pride Parade starting from Millennium Square.

Join with Leeds City Peacelink Group for the reading of the Nagasaki Peace Declaration and laying of memorial wreath in Park Square South LS1 2QG
